YOGA

 

Over the years I have combined my clinical education and skills (MS, Occupational Therapy) with my intuitive knowledge of the human body, movement, and function creating an approach that is straightforward, sustainable, and effective.  Always a curious and dedicated student, I have completed over a thousand hours of yoga/meditation trainings, studying most significantly with Annie Carpenter of Smart Flow Yoga, completing my 500 RYT under her direction.  I am incredibly skilled at seeing the subtleties of the body, examining and assessing patterns, compensations, and energy.  I specialize in working with clients for injury prevention/recovery, new practitioners of yoga, yoga teachers, and seasoned practitioners looking to bring their practice to new depths. 

Using movement, breath, manual techniques, and mindful awareness, I inspire my clients to explore their practice, their body, and their life in a more embodied, compassionate, and awakened state. I believe each of us are radically unique, and the beauty of yoga is that it offers us the invitation to meet ourselves exactly as we are.  My intention is to provide challenging yet compassionate space, creating an environment that is both structured and playful to curiously arrive back home to your body and ultimately to the present moment.  Through functional alignment, movement, and mobility I encourage embodied inquiry, allowing you to show up as you are and empowering you to deepen your awareness and connection to yourself both on and off your mat.

Beginners; breakdown of yoga basics to build strength, stability, awareness, and confidence to integrate into group classes

Injury Therapeutics; recovery, prevention, functional mobility, modifications, stabilization

Deepen Your Practice; explore new depths in your practice physically, emotionally, and spiritually through asana (postures), breath (pranyama), meditation, insight, philosophy, mindfulness.

Group Sessions

Corporate Wellness; reduce stress and increase productivity through mindfulness and yoga in the work place

Private Groups; wedding parties, bachelorette parties, birthdays, community gatherings
